We all had a long year and it is time to treat ourselves with some foot spa sessions. If you are still uncomfortable with visiting your local foot parlour, why not have a spa at home instead?

Follow these simple steps to give your feet a relaxing home spa that transforms them into clean, soft, and beautiful feet you can flaunt!

What you need:

  • A big plastic tub (big enough to soak your feet)
  • Warm water
  • A jar of marbles (optional but can be used for foot massage)
  • Towel
  • Essential oils (lavender, peppermint, or lemongrass oils) or bubble bath bomb
  • Coconut milk
  • Almond oil
  • Honey
  • Lemon
  • Ellgy Plus Cracked Heel Cream
  • Nail clippers
  • Cuticle pusher
  • Nail polish remover
  • Your favorite nail polish

Steps:

Set the mood

Light up some aromatherapy candles to create a relaxing environment (1). We recommend one with a lavender scent. You can also turn on your bluetooth speaker and play some relaxing music.

Prepare a foot soak

Fill up your tub or bucket with some warm water. You can add in a few drops of essential oils or even drop in a bath bomb. For the full experience, add some milk and almond oil which will make your feet super soft (2). Soak your feet in the water for 15 minutes. Then, rinse with clean water and pat dry.

Pedicure

Once your feet are completely dry, it is time for a home pedicure! Start by cutting your toenails and pushing away cuticles. You can also get a nail buffer to finish it with a nice shine!

Massage

Now is the time to use the marbles! Lay them on a piece of towel and stand on them for a few minutes, moving your feet to release the tension in any parts (1). You can also opt for an electric foot massager if you have one, just make sure your feet are completely dry before use! The best option is of course to have a spouse, friend, or sister to give you a good ol’ physical foot massage… Just remember to return the favor afterwards!

Foot mask

Once your feet are all clean and relaxed, you can lather on some foot masks. There are many recipes you can find online, or try this one that we like. Mix half a cup of honey and one tablespoon of fresh lemon juice, then coat your feet with the mask (2). Let it rest for 15 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water. If you want a faster option, you can also use store bought foot masks.

Moisturize

Pat your feet dry after you have washed off the mask, and apply a generous amount of Ellgy Plus Cracked Heel Cream. Formulated to work both on and below the surface of the skin, the cream helps strengthen the skin’s epidermal lipid layer so that moisture is sealed within for

longer periods. You can also gently massage your feet here, this time focusing on the heels and toes.

Put on nail polish

Finally, apply your favourite nail polish color! Your feet will now look healthy, pretty, and ready for the new year!
